Lineage unknown beyond: audience recording > trade CD > FLAC Following on from fuzzpsych's brilliant run of KB boots recently, one I think very very few have heard before. Every KB list I've looked at limits the live recordings to London, Bristol, Manchester, Paris and Amsterdam. Well here's Copenhagen. I got this in a trade with a very very reputable Swedish trader a couple of years back. What made his list really exemplary was that it was virtually all Scandinavian recordings, and up to just before I traded with him, all his activity has been within Scandinavia. As a result, his list wa chock full of really unusual bootlegs from a variety of artists - and this Kate Bush one did rather jump out. I've compared it as best as I can to other recordings (just got Paris and the Palladium, so can't comment on them) - but as far as I can tell, it's genuine. The sound is probably quite decent. There's a heavy swathe of hiss over the top, but I just ran a quick test with the noise reduction on Goldwave and it does seem very removable. I reckon a bit of play with iZotope and this could sound pretty damn good - but my list of recordings to play with on iZotope is so long, and I was keen to keep the KB momentum up: so perhaps that'll have to be someone else's project! As it is, I'd rate is 'Fair' and 7/10 - but there's a sample attached for you to have a listen to first. It is incomplete - as you can see, the last five or so songs seem to be missing. It simply fades out 31 seconds into a track I've labelled 'Outro', but is probably 'Feel It'. UPDATE - just seen a comment from stufarq on the Paris torrent that mentions that the set was shortened on the Copenhagen concert - so perhaps this is nearer to complete than I thought! |
