Recorded at the Toyota Center, Houston, TX, USA. Nice audience recording. From the info file: '420 in Houston' Roger Waters May 1, 2012 Toyota Center Houston Texas Note: Houston TX was the first US show of the 2012 Noth American Tour I saw Roger's show in Houston in 2010, and when I heard he was coming back, I knew I had to go see him again. I went a little overboard, and ended up buying 3 pairs of tickets, one pair on the floor, one pair 1st row lower section, and 1st row upper section. I spent some time on the website to get those seats! Since I was on the floor last time (right by the soundboard) I finally decided to go sit in the 1st row in the upper deck to get a different vantage point and sell the rest. I was not disappointed and I hope you are pleased as well! I even called the radio station repeatedly when they were giving away tickets and won a pair from them, but they were standard seats in the middle of the top section, so I gave those away to a friend. I didn't get any radio commercials for the 2010 show, so I made up for it this time. I try to do this ever since I heard a PF ROIO from 1977 with a couple of commercials on it. I think it adds a little history to the overall project. I also try to grab a few on-line articles and take some pictures to add to it as well. On a lark, I borrowed a co-worker's FLIP video recorder, and videod my first show. Actually, the FLIP only had 60 minutes, and no removable media, so all we have is the second set. You be the judge of how it came out. I'm naming this show '420 in Houston' primarily because we were 1st row in section 420, and secondly, to honor those heads smoking around us. C was like 'do I smell skunk?' and I tried to keep a straight face. Silly girl... ;) Ahhh, the memories... I love it! Anyways, I was able to hang the microphone over the edge of the rail, so I don't get the noise from the people around me. The audio from the FLIP is another story. Also, the couple next to us got up a few times during the show and I had to move things around to let them pass, so the video and audio isn't perfect. Here's my setup, it's the same as my other shows, cheap yet effective: AIWA CM-2 'One Point Mic' > Sony TCM-86V 'Cassette-Corder' > Maxell XLII-S > Nakamicki BX-300E > Wave Corrector (no corrections, raw transfer) > GoldWave (joins, cuts, fades, balance) > Wave Corrector (track splits) > dBpoweramp (FLAC level 7). Note that there is an analog step in there, I do not own a digital recorder (sigh, maybe someday!) The FLIP was a 720 HD 4GB 60 minute. I apologize in advance for the time I take to flip tapes, I do not practice as much as I should. Plus I had to put the camera down to flip the tape. Lastly, when I got up to let that couple pass one time, the recorder switched from record mode to play mode after the Tribute to Jean Charles de Manezes, so I'm missing Mother and part of Goodby Blue Sky. :( I apologize for all the warts! Enjoy the best you can...
