The Story:
I was recovering from surgery and could not attend the 2012 show in Houston. It was my mission to make one of the remaining shows after hearing the rave review of the Houston gig from my coworker. Chicago and my hometown area of Detroit were the front runners until I saw tickets availabe on StubHub for the Nashville show. This was particularly appealing as Nashville is in my work territory and I can always dig up some work meaning airfare, hotel, car rental and meals would be paid for. I mentioned this plan to my coworker and we decided to make it happen. We dredged up reasons to be there and arrived Monday evening, the day before the show. We both put in an honest day's work and proceeded to meet up at Broadway Brewhouse Downtown before the show on Tuesday.

The atmosphere at the brewhouse was great! They were playing the studio version of The Wall loud and proud and people were singing along and drumming on the tables. My coworker and I were minding our own business sampling some local beers when in walked typical Floyd Rulz Dude. He proceed to buy a couple or three rounds of Jaeger Bombs for us and then stepped his game up to a round of Irish Car Bombs. At this point, Floyd Rulz Dude was beligerently insistant that we do another round of my choice on him. Being one to never back down from a drink challenge, and one to want this guy to shut the hell up, I recommended a drink called a Mexican Drive By. It's a variation of Irish Car Bomb that I came up with one foggy night because the local watering hole in Houston did not have all ingredients needed for an Irish Car Bomb, substituting Cuervo 1800 for Jameson, Tecate for Guiness and dropping Kahluha instead of Bailey's. That was the last I heard or saw of Floyd Rulz Dude after he staggered away convinced we were insane. Others who witnessed the events, laughed and bought us another beer. It was now time for the show.

Bridgestone Arena is 1.5 blocks from Broadway Brewhouse. The streets were packed with fans and we were seated about 10 minutes before the show. I had no intention of recording the show because I just wanted to chill out and enjoy it but it quickly became apparant that I had to at least record a piece of it for posterity and to show some friend who weren't as fortunate as we were. I didn't have much battery life left but started recording on my iPhone 4 during ABITW2 and after an accidental shut off, managed to get through Young Lust before the battery died. My buddy leant me his iPhone 4S to capture Run Like Hell to the end and band introductions.

Included in this torrent is an mpeg-2 edit of the raw mov files as described in the lineage, as well as the raw mov files in case anyone wants to use them for a frankenshow at some point. I was not goint to post these but decided to since I haven't seen anything else for this date. Hopefully a more complete recording surfaces because you can see a lot of people recording in the clips I captured. Until then, enjoy my first attempt at recording and torrenting.
